Terms of Engagement

Upon confirming an appointment with Norfolk Farriers Ltd, you are agreeing to abide by and respect the following procedures and rules, so that Norfolk Farriers Ltd can provide an acceptable quality of service to all it’s customers, until the point where you and Norfolk Farriers mutually cease the arrangement.

OUR SERVICE

Appointments can be made by telephone or text between the hours of 7am-5pm, Monday-Friday

We always try to keep to the allocated appointment slot that has been given, however, from time to time appointment slots may need to be adjusted. We will always advise clients of this, as soon as possible or you are welcome to call the mobile number for an arrival time

If a client cancels within 24 hours of their appointment, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee.

Work on horse’s feet may be carried out by Sam Fowler DipWCF or someone under his supervision (directly or indirectly) who is suitably insured and qualified

PAYMENT TERMS 

Invoices are due on receipt or on agreed terms

 In the event that a client has an invoice outstanding, there will be no further visits, shoeing or trimming until the invoice has been cleared

Outstanding invoices may also be subject to a minimum £10 administration charge

There  will be a annual price rise inline with inflation 

LOST SHOES

Lost shoes incur a fee

If a shoe is lost in less than 7 days will be free of charge 

COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE

In the event that a client wishes to raise a complaint. Please raise this directly with Sam Fowler, either by email or verbally and he will strive to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.

SAFETY

Safety is a priority for Norfolk Farriers Ltd . In the event that they feel it is unsafe to continue to shoe a horse, they reserve the right to stop working on a horse until it is safe to do so. This is written in the Farriers Code of Conduct. 

A safe working environment should be provided with hard standing, electric, water and shelter from the rain. Horses should be presented clean and dry, where possible. Norfolk Farriers Ltd reserve the right not to proceed with the intended work on the grounds of safety, or if they feel they cannot provide an acceptable standard of work in the environment 

Horses need to be handled by the owner or appointed groom/other as Norfolk Farriers Ltd accepts no liability or responsibility for catching or moving horses to and from shoeing area

Should the horse become impatient or dangerous, someone (owner or appointed competent other) would be required to hold the horse whilst work is carried out/finished on the horse. 

OTHER

By using the services provided by Norfolk Farriers Ltd you are accepting that we can use photos or X-rays for educational and social media use. These will be used respectfully to the client and horse but any images taken or X-rays sent to Norfolk Farriers Ltd are then the property of Norfolk Farriers Ltd to use as we see fit.

Norfolk Farriers Ltd will not share your personal data with any 3rd party

Any issues with the equine will be shared with the veterinarian upon request 

All data is stored on password protected devices 

All data is destroyed after 7 years
